They each have a completely different feel – you can choose one, or combine both.
Super 8 is a vintage film format that captures moments in a nostalgic, cinematic way. It has a soft, grainy texture and natural movement that feels timeless and full of emotion. Super 8 is shot on real film, which means it needs to be professionally developed and scanned, and it is silent (no audio). Because each roll is limited, it’s captured intentionally, focusing on atmosphere, emotion, and the in-between moments that make your day feel like a memory.
Absolutely. I work alongside photographers and videographers and aim to be an easy, unobtrusive addition to the day. I’ll also communicate with your photographer where needed so we’re not getting in each other’s way.
With Camcorder coverage, sound is captured throughout the moments I’m filming, so you’ll hear parts of your vows, speeches and other key moments back in your footage.
Super 8 is completely silent, so the focus is on the visuals, reactions and atmosphere rather than audio.
If you’d like more of those key moments captured specifically with sound, you can also add iPhone Moments to your package.
